Predefined Conditions
The Predefined Conditions in Advanced Installer are ready-to-use conditions that can be employed to conditionally install files, execute custom actions, or manage software installation. These conditions allow you to easily check for the presence of specific software, system attributes, or configuration settings without the need for manual scripting.
The predefined conditions cover various common scenarios, ensuring that your installer can handle different system configurations effortlessly. For instance, you can check if essential components like the .NET Framework, Java Runtime Environment, or specific versions of software are installed on the target machine.
Use the [Insert ] button or double click a predefined condition from the list to include it.

- When adding a predefined condition that contains reference to a component or a feature, you will be prompted to select one from the project.

- When adding an installed software predefined condition, the Detect Installed Software Dialog will be shown allowing you to determine the minimum version of the installed software.

Using predefined conditions in Advanced Installer is straightforward. Here’s a quick example:
- Select a Predefined Condition: Choose from a variety of predefined conditions available in Advanced Installer. For instance, you might select the condition to check if the .NET Framework is installed.
- Automatic Search and Property Setting: Once the predefined condition is selected, Advanced Installer automatically performs the necessary searches. The property associated with the condition is set based on the search results.
- Implement Conditional Logic: Use these properties to implement conditional logic in your installer. For example, you can conditionally install a file, execute a custom action, or prompt the user based on the presence of certain sofware of even condition the package installation when using the condiiton as a custom launch conditions .
